AFTER NEW YEAR'S CELEBRATION

... it's back to school!!! (insert your emoji here whether a cheerful smile or a depressing frown haha!)
So here's a back-to-school outfit for all the nerds, fashionistas, artists, and other school stereotypes. Though I think this outfit works better for the three. But you can tell me otherwise! Just comment down below. Hihi!

I think the perfect outfit for school... should not be wearing heels! Hahaha! But for the love of blogging, I chose to wear my neon heels from Primadonna to match with my green collar necklace from Yhansy. For school, you need the perfect set of jeans because they're one of the most comfortable pieces you'll ever wear in your life, aside from boxers of course! Another comfy necessity is a fun, cozy sweater! You need this one especially if you'll be inside an air conditioned room the whole day. And yes! It has to be fun like my "Find your inner Smurf" sweater from Forever 21; with all the long hours in class and the stressful deadlines, the least you can do is wear something that will liven up your spirits! Finally, the cherry on top of your school-ready style should be a tote like this mine from Lancel that's big enough to carry all essentials for school, grooming, and hygiene. You don't want to look and smell like you only had two hours of sleep, even if you actually had only two hours of sleep. :)

And to add another element for this outfit so I'd look more studious...

Yay or nay? Hahaha!

So prepare your minds and bodies because vacation is oveeeeer! But don't be dismayed because summer is just 3 MONTHS AWAY!!!

YOUNG ADULT

Some of you may think this is too crazy to be worn to the mall but hey! No one stopped me from doing it, so I just did it. Aaahh the perks of being a young adult!
As I've learned from my SCL 9 class: according to Erikson, a young adult ranges from 18-35 years old (I'm 19, just in case you don't know) and for me, being in this time of my life means to live young and free!!! But being responsible as well. :)
In terms of fashion, I am still eligible to wear plunged backs, cropped tops, shorts, sky high heels, crazy prints, eye-burning neons... you get it now right? Hence, the choice of neon green and medieval joker-inspired leggings (Do they call them 'joker'? Help me out here haha!) Plus, I added a clutch that looks like a book, which my parents think is very very weird (sometimes they don't get my choice of accessories hehe).

Despite my love for craziness and everything young, I still have a sense of responsibility; to show that, this ensemble was constructed as if I was going to the office (cause you know, office people are responsible people. They should be). Do you see it? Haha! Maybe not because of the reflection of light on my top. But this vest, if it was in the colors white, black, or gray, it's totally wearable to the office! My mom even said she had a top like this during her working years, but in black, of course. Seeee!
And to go with my office attire, my hair was in a sleek bun and my choice of accesories were a slim ring, a simple necklace, and earrings which all match!!! (This was my first jewelry set, given to me by my mom and dad when I turned 13) Hahaha!

Whew! The story of this outfit. I seriously got exhausted from all the explaining to make sure you, my dear reader, understands my point of view. I hope you did. Hahaha!

That's how fashion is in my life. It's my medium to express myself, my stories, and my principles. Some might not get why fashion is such a big deal but as they say... an artist has his own truth and their own way of seeing the world, a scientist has his own truth and their own way of seeing the world, and so fashionistas also have their own truth and their own way of seeing the world. :)

A STUDY IN PINK

To all the Sherlock fans out there, please give me this blessing to use the title of the first ever episode of Sherlock Holmes starring Benedict Cumberbatch - A Study in Pink.
Ever since a friend of mine introduced me to the world of Sherlock Holmes, which included a couple of squeals and fangirl moments towards Cumberbatch, I have been SHERLOCKED. (See what I did there? Hi Kriska!)

Anywaaaay, on to my outfit! I guess it's pretty obvious why I entitled this as such. No, it's not just the pants, but my top as well is pink, in the lightest shade of pink you'll ever see.
There is nothing wrong with wearing the same color for your top and bottom! It was even the "bomb" before our generation adopted print on print.

The trick here is to combine different shades of the same color so you wouldn't look too monotonous or too "that was so last season!" Plus, a pop of color never hurts! Especially if it's strawberry and mango. Mehehe! Get it? I'm wearing ice cream flavors... Oh, never mind.

And since I was aiming for sophistication that day, gold will always be the way! :)

HELLO SKIES OF BLUE

Goodbye clouds of grey, hello skies of blue.
A dip in the pool, a trip to the spa.
Endless days in my chaise
The whole world according to moi!!!
Excuse me, thank you. ;)

Well, hello hello to my fabulous ACTIVE blog!
I'm so sorry for being the MIA blogger for the past 3 months (ehem college)... at least now, it's safe to say I can move on, with flying colors, to FOURTH YEAR COLLEGE! Wooohoo!!!

And since there are no more school work that can block my way, I am back on this blog baby! ...and back from the hospital. No worries, just had my appendix removed. Hihi!

And since it's the start of summer, I just thought of starting this post with one of my favorite songs from the summer movie High School Musical 2!!! The song is just perfect for summer and, well, it's the perfect fabulosity song! I'm sure all the girly girls out there have dreamed, at least once, of living a life like Sharpay Evans - I know I have. (Hey, you better love HSM!)
You have to admit, even if she's the mean girl, she's the mean girl you love. (Like Regina George from the Mean Girls) Hahaha!

ANYWAY!!! On to the outfit, it's not really summer-y but instead it's a last day of school outfit, I guess. So I should have placed here "What time is it? Summertime!" (okay, okay, enough with HSM)

Seeeeee! It's perfect for school right! Preppy & fun!!! It's not too loud but it can definitely get you on the school's lookbook. It has just the right mix of neutrals and greens, and has the cutest silhouette; but what makes this special is those little details: like the fluorescent yellow heels, the gray and blue socks, and the red "clubmaster" sunglasses which gives this a bit of an edge.

Whew! Feels good to write again! Till the next post, which I promise will come soon! Hehe. :)

WHITE'S HOT: LOYALTY

So there's this thing going on in the blogging world - if you are an avid reader of blogs, you would be aware of this little, well not little but BIG contest happening. The winner of this contest will get a chance to style the gorgeous Solenn Heussaff in a fashion magazine spread! HOW COOL IS THAT?! Answer: Very cool.
The theme of this contest is entitled White's Hot! Basically, from my understanding, we incorporate white things to our wardrobe of the day.

And tadaaaaa my White's Hot outfit!!! :)

Doesn't this last photo make me look like a stylist who has been running around to find the right pieces of clothing but still keeping it together? Yeeaah, I thought so too. Teehee! :)

I entitled this entry "LOYALTY" because of my loyalty to the theme. I tried my best to just sticking to the color white and to matching it with Solenn Heussaff's style,  I swear! Moving on, we all know Solenn Heussaff is a bombshell - and with that, I meant fitting enough to be a Victoria's Secret Angel (Get it? The brand's Eau de Parfum? Bombshell? Keep up with me please, laugh!) so it was a definite must to show off some skin. This white mesh I'm wearing is actually a cover up for when I'm in the beach, but I knew it was perfect for giving off that Solenn vibe. I wore a blazer to keep everything look put together and classier. I kept the accessories minimal because I wanted the outfit to look relaxed and chill, just like how this day was. I just love it when there are no cars passing by our street. :) And finally, to showcase ms. Solenn's insanely long legs, nude pumps were the way to go! They instantly give you that length you need.

And that's about it! Please check out the White's Hot page HERE and try submitting entries. You'll never know you might be lucky enough to meet Solenn Heussaff in person, and be her stylist for a day! :)
