CHECKMATE

You might be wondering why for the first time ever I did not include any portrait photo! Did you notice? That's right, go back up, look at all the landscape photos.
Well, I have got a very simple answer for you: I had no photographer.
I shot all of these by myself. And since I could not find our tripod, I had to position the camera on top of a table over a pile of books. And can you imagine the height of my lens that time? That is why I am seated in most of the photos.
Did I mention it was super hot that day? Since I had no remote, I had to angle the camera, press the timer, run to the position, fix my self a bit, and pose. Then go back to the camera again and check the image. Then, do the same sequence all over again. I was literally sweating like a pig (hoping you don't see it in the photos!).
Oh the things you do for fashion!

So enough about that no photographer day, on to my outfit! If I can recall clearly, I had errands to do on that day. And if you're as busy as me, or even busier, then comfort is the first thing that should be in your mind. I think I achieved the comfy look perfectly with this matching top and bottom from The Ramp! What I love about this is you've got an automatic romper kind of look which makes it less hassle if you're thinking of how to match a certain top with hundreds of bottoms. However, if you're being creative, you have two separate pieces that can both be worn in so many ways! Talk about hitting two birds with one stone!
And what really attracted me is how classy the print and the design is even with a playful romper kind of look.

To further polish (cause you know I am the polished kind of girl), I just had to match with a set of pearl earrings, a pair of golden cap toed shoes from Primadonna, tied up hair, a simple black watch from UnlimitedManila , and a white bag from Zara that's big enough to carry my essentials and small enough for situations when I am in a rush.

Polished dressing doesn't mean having to look uptight, and comfy dressing doesn't mean having to look lazy. You just have to strategize in order to achieve the perfect mix of genres.

RUN BABY RUN

I look like I'm going to jog, don't I?
Or not.

If I were to join a fashion run, this is definitely what I'm wearing!
The top from Forever 21 is perfect with anything, it's so simple yet bold and sexy. The harem pants from SM RTW, are the most comfortable of all! Not skinny, not baggy, not too long, and definitely not short - it's comfort and chic in one! And the best part of all - COTTON!!! I believe it is the most comfortable and most versatile fabric there is!
The jacket from North Face is very functional, especially for our kind of unpredictable weather here in the Philippines. I was able to maximize this jacket cause it rained on the day I wore it. The hood can be tucked and hidden under the collar that's why you don't see it here. But it definitely kept me dry while walking in the rain.
And to top it all off, my black bedazzled cap from Club Princess!!! This was bought by my boyfriend during one of our dates. Thanks Juliano Lin!!! Who knew we'd be able to find this from Club Princess? Usually you'd find tiaras, furred fans, girly sleeping masks, and animal print slippers when you go to one of their shops. So I was shocked to find this! Well not really so, cause they also came in colors, magenta, turquoise, and gold hahaha! It's really the girliest shop I've been to! Anyway, back on to the cap - I love it cause it's edgy, on-trend, and sparkly - perfectly fits me!

But for a fashion run, I might have to take a second look on those heels from Primadonna. Though I love how it goes with the outfit, I wouldn't want to sprain an ankle or trip tragically during the run, right? Sineryoso ko talaga??

(Btw, don't you think my title is so old school. Well high school-old school!
Run baby run, don't ever look baaack.
They'll tear us apart if you give them the chance
Remember?)

WALKING DRAMATICALLY

Hey girls, don't be scared to repeat the same clothes, especially if it's super worth it like this ombre sheer skirt. Style them differently and you'll be surprised as to how different it looks from the previous time you wore it. OH HOW I AM SO MUCH IN LOVE WITH THIS SKIRT!!! Hahaha!

This is day 2 of our Batangas get-away! And who said you can't be all covered up on the beach? Reasons why I love this ensemble:

1. It's conservative yet playful and sexy
2. Very very comfortable
3. The whole ensemble dances with the wind, making it alive
4.   Though it's covered, it's totally not making me sweat
5. I can sit, stand, jump without having to worry if my bikini top or bottom is still in place

But the main reason why is I can walk dramatically on the beach with this! And people would be like "Hmm. What's her story?" Hahahaha!... weirdo.

But hey, I'm not a no no to the sexy, skin-baring fashion style of Malibu girls, okay! I would definitely love to try that out. Just follow your heart as to what makes you feel comfortable and, more importantly, what makes you feel confident.

FLY WITH ME TO CEBU

Hello readers!!! (woohoo! I have readers hahaha) I've been super busy with school and other life matters, that I haven't been able to update my small and humble blog! So now I've got so much backlogs; but no worries, I'm back in the business baby!

During our semestral break (see! What did I tell you? Backlog), my family and I went to Cebu!!! We stayed there for about 4 days - first stop was Mactan then on the third day, we drove to the city.

This is my view of Cebu from the plane, arriving!
We stayed in the Crimson Resorts in Mactan. Truly, it was one of the most beautiful resorts I've ever been and they have THE friendliest staff you'll ever meet!

For our first day, we ate outside of the hotel and found this place called Oyster Bay. It was recommended by the hotel staff, so we definitely had to try. Oysters and scallops are one of my favorites so tadaaaa!

Our 2nd day in the resort was well spent swimming! So we walked back and forth the swimming pool and the beach. Both were equally spectacular!

That's my dad and sister, doing a photoshoot hahaha!

And this was a random Korean couple. Btw, most of the guests were Koreans.

There I was feeling sexy and free. Check out my huge biceps. Haha! I'm kidding.

We even got hennas! And since my mom and dad are awesome like us, they got inked as well!

Third day was a road trip to Cebu City! But since I don't have that much photos of that day, I'll just post random stuff!

My breakfast was all about bread and pastries!

The night we got home to our cottage, we were surprised with this little critter, left by the nice housekeeping people. They even got my sister's sunglasses and wore it on this baby!

And here I am feeling hippy. Wait! Is this hippy? Maybe mildly hippy.

Day 4 was for our tour around Cebu City. First stop was the Sto. Domingo Church!

Within the boundaries of the Church was the famous Magellan's Cross.

These candles are placed underneath the cross, and they are said to be offered prayers.

Our last stop was the Taoist temple!

That's my dad showing off his tattoo cause it matches the dragon.

And finally, we went back to the hotel, packed our luggages and went back to Manila!

Next up is a run through of what I wore for the four day trip. And I must say, I was all about comfort. Different from what I usually strut.

FIRST DAY: NEONS AND PAISLEY

SECOND DAY: BEACHY DAY
Sorry I just took these photos by myself inside our room hihi

THIRD DAY: BOHO AND HIP

FOURTH DAY: ONE AND SIMPLE
I stated one cause I only have one photo. Haha!

Cebu was definitely a blast and I would gladly go back! That's it for my comeback post and I shall try my best to update consistently. :)
