BLANK CANVASS

BACKLOG OVERLOOOOAAADDD!!!

You know, medicine school, you get it.

This outfit is one of the comfiest I've worn. I'm telling you the heels from Charles & Keith themselves are the comfiest heels I've ever had in my life. I love the simple shirt and pants combo and the 'hair away from my face' look. Throughout the day, I was far away from my typical struggles of pulling my shirt down cause it's too short or constantly brushing my hair with my fingers so it stays in place or looking for a place to put down my hand bag just for 10 seconds to allow rest for my forearm. But but but!!! Despite the comfort and simplicity, you have to admit it looks stylish and trendy still!
Factors?
1. The sleek bun which are seen all over the runways
2. The cleanliness of the color white and the strategic positions of the color black, which gives the ensemble its image of power and strength
3. The minutes of red which completes the whole bland outfit

White and red or black and red will always be a great combo, remember that! So when in doubt, you know what to look for. If you don't have any red accessories... red lips will be your best friend!!!

THE BEE'S KNEES

Oh how I have missed blogging! It has been almost 3 months since the last post, and I blame college!!! It was hell of a journey for us - looooong tests, assignments, term papers, formal reports, oral reports, final exams, and of course, my Goliath: THESIS!!! But as small as I may be as David, I was able to conquer the gigantic monster of my sleepless nights and constant anxiousness!!! HELL YEEEAAAAH!!!!!!! Together with my thesis mates - Atienza et al, 2014. Hahahaha! Kidding. Shout out to my loving COMT group, Sharlyn Mae T. Guevan, John Christopher L. Gardiola, and Moses Aaron C. Iglesias. I love you guysss!!!

And as unbelievable as it may be, four years have already passed and I am now a candidate for graduation, together with my ever so loving block, 4Biology-5! No words can express how much I love these people. They were my smiles within my four years of struggle, and I am so very thankful (really really really REALLY thankful) to have met these wonderful boys and girls. But now, though it hurts, it's time to say goodbye. I will truly miss each one of you! Promise we'll see each other annually, okay? Even if I have to organize it and grab each one of you by the legs to attend, I will do it! Just so we can relive the beautiful four years we have had together. Congratulations to us Bio5 2014!!!

What better way to celebrate this momentous event than with a graduation ball! Where the theme was the 1920s era based on the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel-turned-movie, The Great Gatsby!!! I was not just excited to get all dolled up, but also because my life-long dream of breathing life into one of my designs has finally came true!!!! Yes, what I wore to the ball was designed by no other than meeeee, Lyka Atienza! Which was well made by Undernourished Manila. Thank you so much, ms. Mary Rose Bergantinos! I love love love this dress and I hope you would like it too! Comment below what you think of MY design. (Isn't it obvious I'm very ecstatic about it hihi!).

This is the original sketch. Please don't judge how I drew this because I am not an artist and I don't have the talent for it. :( There were a few modifications (given my non-modelesque body type and my conservative mother hahaha!) but all in all, I'm very happy with the outcome! :)

And of course, a few selfies here and there. I warn you of my awkward smiles. :|

Don't mind me. I'm just looking at the green light Jay Gatsby used to look at from his castle. :">

PHFW S/S 2013: CARY SANTIAGO

Fashion is one of the most celebrated artistry in the world! Like any good literature, designing and styling requires patience, discipline, and a very creative mind. You don't just pull things out from nowhere. So it's just right that we celebrate the brilliant designers of our country, and the best way to do that is through a fashion week!
Cary Santiago is one of the most in-demand fashion designers in the country, even beyond! His couture gowns and evening dresses definitely epitomize luxury and glamour. His designs are very intricate and elaborate but are intelligently placed on very specific areas on the clothing so as not to go over the top. Defintely, a perfect balance between glamour and class!

I watched the show alone and once more, I only brought with me my phone so the photos I was able to take were very blurry! I don't want to hurt your eyes so I took some from STYLEBIBLE.PH :)

I just love the origami-like designs, very very beautiful! That's what I'm talking about when I say an intelligent balance between glamour and class.

This is my favorite cause of the magnificent flow of the garment, it's as graceful as water.

A huge stunning pearly white ball gown, the perfect finale!

When I saw the name Cary Santiago on my e-invite, I knew this would be the perfect dress to wear. It's classy, it's elegant, and it's got that peplum thing going on at the front which makes it more glamorous!

WHITE'S HOT: LOYALTY

So there's this thing going on in the blogging world - if you are an avid reader of blogs, you would be aware of this little, well not little but BIG contest happening. The winner of this contest will get a chance to style the gorgeous Solenn Heussaff in a fashion magazine spread! HOW COOL IS THAT?! Answer: Very cool.
The theme of this contest is entitled White's Hot! Basically, from my understanding, we incorporate white things to our wardrobe of the day.

And tadaaaaa my White's Hot outfit!!! :)

Doesn't this last photo make me look like a stylist who has been running around to find the right pieces of clothing but still keeping it together? Yeeaah, I thought so too. Teehee! :)

I entitled this entry "LOYALTY" because of my loyalty to the theme. I tried my best to just sticking to the color white and to matching it with Solenn Heussaff's style,  I swear! Moving on, we all know Solenn Heussaff is a bombshell - and with that, I meant fitting enough to be a Victoria's Secret Angel (Get it? The brand's Eau de Parfum? Bombshell? Keep up with me please, laugh!) so it was a definite must to show off some skin. This white mesh I'm wearing is actually a cover up for when I'm in the beach, but I knew it was perfect for giving off that Solenn vibe. I wore a blazer to keep everything look put together and classier. I kept the accessories minimal because I wanted the outfit to look relaxed and chill, just like how this day was. I just love it when there are no cars passing by our street. :) And finally, to showcase ms. Solenn's insanely long legs, nude pumps were the way to go! They instantly give you that length you need.

And that's about it! Please check out the White's Hot page HERE and try submitting entries. You'll never know you might be lucky enough to meet Solenn Heussaff in person, and be her stylist for a day! :)
