PILES OF AZTEC

THE LAST OF MY BACKLOGS!!!

Aztec is that kind of print which can stand on its own. You don't need much accessorizing to do because the print itself captures your audience. (Hahaha! Audience talaga?!)

But since I am so in love with the print, I decided to pile it on. The problem here is that it could get messy and be unappealing to the eyes. For this ensemble it was easy for me to negate that problem since the dress is almost monotonous to blue while the clutch is to pink. So it doesn't look messy, but at the same time,  the prints from the dress and the clutch popped and matched.

I simply just love this dress because of the intelligent positioning of the sheer sections. It's conservative as well as sexy because of the back! Exactly my type of dress. (blush blush)

For the shoes, I chose to go with blue, so it would match with the dress and tone down the ensemble. Then choosing neon bracelets to add to the playfulness as well as an extra oomph!

BOOTIES ON THE BEACH

Surprised? Yeaah! I am starting to consistently blog again! (this is a backlog though).
In January or February, I think, my family went for an early summer vacation - this time, it was in Batangas. Hey! You have got to love your own right?

But not much of the sceneries, I know you're here for fashion. Hahaha!

I know what you're thinking "She wore booties to the beach?!" Hahaha insane right? But hey! Fashion knows no boundaries. If you want to wear a head dress to the mall, then go ahead! If you want to wear wedges to a camping trip, then go ahead! If you want to wear a bikini to church, uhmmmmm... I don't think that's a good choice. If you want to wear pajamas to a formal ball gown event... OH HECK NO!!! Hahaha! Just remember: balance is the key and of course, aptness should always be kept in mind.

I just want to say thank you to my lovely girlfriend Sharlyn Guevan for giving me these booties last Christmas!!! I tell you she is THE BEST SANTA in the whole wide world. Not only did she give me this, but also a pair of sharp earrings and a beautiful edgy necklace. I shall blog them soon. Hihi!

So, for this look I wanted to look light and fresh! Hence, the choice of hues. All colors on me are very comforting to the eyes, don't you think? Plus, with the kind of heat we are having now, we don't want the rays of the sun following us everywhere we go. Remember! The darker your clothing, the more heat is absorbed (Aha! Physics! Neeerrrddd)

Oh and just to emphasize I love love looove those little tea cups on my socks, they're so girly. Hihi! You just got to love those little details.

Ta-Tah! Hahaha!

NEON POPS

We all love the serenity and the tranquility of the province right? Well maybe not. :)
I can't deny it, I love the busyness and the noise of the city! But once in a while, it's also good to visit a quiet place just to relax and reflect on things. (Yeeaaah, I don't really reflect hahaha!)

So we went to Apalit, Pampanga, the place where my grandmother grew up, to surprise her long time housekeeper cause it was his birthday! I apologize cause I don't have pictures for that. And because it was the province, some would think of wearing shorts, flats, and pastels...
But not me!!! I chose to wear heels (well, at least they were wedges), a maxi skirt, and neon colors!!!

It's not your usual provincial outfit but hey! Fashion knows no boundaries right? My favorites in this outfit are the neon colors cause they made everything more interesting and they just popped! And this blue maxi is just beautiful. The way the fabric flows is just amazing, I feel like a princess in this! The white top just served as the canvass of this colorful artwork!

Below are just some of the pictures I took when we were hanging out in our ancestral home. (Yes, I declare it ancestral cause my lola said this house is a hundred years old!!!)

Check out the life size Mama Mary behind me. My family is very religious!

My sister brought her guitar so we could jam, but my family was laughing at me cause I'm out of tune. :P

And this is the interior of the house! It's actually enormous but these are the only pictures I were able to take. Yes, I know I lack a lot of pictures. :(

Top: Herbench | Maxi skirt: Kashieca | Wedges: Gap | Necklace, bracelets, and envelope bag: Bubbles

What do you think of my look?
